# Cast Shadow

Cast Shadows is responsible for the ability of an object to cast a shadow in the scene and on other objects.

If you disable this option by moving the green slider to the left (the slider will turn gray), the object will stop giving shadow. But it will not stop receiving shadow from other objects since the Receive shadow option is enabled.
