Let's say you have created a cool game, and now you want to share it with friends or colleagues. In MANU, this can be done in two ways:
1) You can export the game to an external disk or USB stick and transfer it to your friend. He will launch MANU, open your game and play it.
2) The second option is to use a special platform: MANU Marketplace (follow the link to manu.org). MANU has its own platform on the marketplace, and also has functionality for using this platform.
The main function of the MANU Marketplace is to present your games (created in MANU) and play other users' games. Here, users can also share experiences, comments or just have fun and play games.
To export your game or assets to the MANU Marketplace, you need to sign in to your User profile on the MANU Marketplace website: Manu.org.
If you are on the MANU Marketplace website (https://manu.org/):
● You can sign in by clicking the “Sign in” button that is located in the upper right corner of the screen.
● Use your Google or Facebook account to proceed with registration.
● During the registration you will be asked to review and agree to the terms and conditions for the use of the MANU Marketplace website.
● After you click on the “Agree” button, you will create your own Profile on the MANU Marketplace.
To manage your User profile, click on the User Profile icon that is located in the upper right corner of the screen.
First, you have to make sure that your game is finished and ready to be exported. After that, in MANU:
● Go to the Main Menu (located in the upper left corner of the screen) and click on it.
● Next, click on File>Export to Game Store.
● You will be asked to save your game before exporting, if some game changes have not been saved prior to this moment.
● Next, a pop-up window will appear telling you what you need to do to export the game to the MANU Marketplace. This pop-up window will also contain an input field for entering code.
Let's act according to the instructions from this pop-up window and open the MANU Marketplace website:
● Create your profile in MANU Marketplace if it has not been created before (to know how to do it, please read above).
● Click on the User Profile icon which is located in the upper right corner of the screen.
● Then, choose Games from the drop-down list.
● After that, you will be given an option to Create a new game. Click on it.
● Now the profile page of your game has opened up. Fill out the Game profile, so that users can learn more about your game:
- Give the game the proper name. The name must be unique and contain no special characters.
- Add categories that the game may belong to. You can choose a maximum of five categories.
- Add a description to your game, so that users can understand what your game is about.
- Add game banners, pictures and videos of the game.
● Going down a bit, on the right you will see information about how much free disk space is left. Note: each user is provided with 1 GB of space for free.
Above this information you will see a reminder about how to export a game to the Manu Marketplace (MANU→ File →Export to Game Store).
Below on the right, you will see a field with the generated code. You can generate a new code or copy it using the corresponding icons to the right of the code.
Note: for each export, you need to generate a new code. A unique code will be required both for uploading a completely new game, and for a new version of a game which is already available on the MANU Marketplace.
After you copy the code, go to MANU:
● Paste this code into the "Enter code” field in the pop-up window.
● Next, click on the Export Game button. After that, the process of exporting the game to the MANU Marketplace will begin.
● In case of successful export of your game to the MANU Marketplace, a pop-up window will appear telling about the successful completion of the process.
● Next, press the Close button in that pop-up window and go to the Game Profile on the MANU Marketplace.
● Refresh the page on the MANU Marketplace website and you will see that your game has already been uploaded to this website. The game is ready to be launched. But the game has not been published yet, only you can see it.
When the game is uploaded to the MANU Marketplace, it is in unpublished state. Therefore, it is not yet available to other users. In order to publish the game on the MANU Marketplace and make it available to other users:
● Go to the Game profile on the MANU Marketplace.
● Then, next to the word “Published” you will see a white slider. Move it to the right (from white to green).
● Now your game has appeared on the MANU Marketplace website.
● You can easily share a link to download your game with your friends. Copy the link using the hyperlink icon (located to the right of the word “Published”) and send it.
Now try to search for your game on the MANU Marketplace website. The easiest way to find the game is to look in the categories which it falls under. These are the categories that you have chosen for your game at the stage of filling out the game profile.
Note: you can keep your game unpublished for your own use. In this case, the Published slider should be moved to the left.
After exporting the game to the MANU Marketplace, you can launch it, play it and test it. For these purposes, you will need the MANU Launcher. Launcher is a separate program. It is a game player on the marketplace. You and other users can use this player to play your game. So, install MANU Launcher first to play games if you have not downloaded it yet:
● Сlick on the Launch button.
● Then, you will be asked if you need to download the Launcher.
● After giving permission, a page will open with the option to download the Launcher for Windows and for MacOS.
If you already have the MANU Launcher installed, then:
● Click on the Launch button, and it will take you to the game download page.
● You will be asked if you want to allow this page to open the app “MANU Launcher.app”.
● After you give your permission, the game will start loading in the MANU Launcher.
When the download is finished, you will be able to play the game and check if everything is ok (if everything is as it should be).
